It seems such a long time since Alford and District Garden Club got together, and we are very much looking forward to restarting our meetings on Tuesday, 17th November at 7:30pm at Tullynessle Hall. We are delighted to welcome Sandra Hay and Graham Scott who will speak to us about Allotment & Polytunnel Raised Bed Gardening.
There will also be a short Extraordinary General Meeting to propose a new Garden Club Committee and chat about our plans, having missed the AGM because of the Covid 19 lockdown.
Please remember you must wear your facemask, social distancing will be practised and the large hall at Tullynessle laid out to maximise space. Hand sanitiser will be available and you will be met at the door and shown to a seat. A risk assessment has been completed but unfortunately there will not be an opportunity for our usual social time, drink and snack and there will not be a raffle this evening, to minimise the possibility of spreading infections.
We do hope that as many people as possible will try to attend our only meeting before Christmas. It will seem quite different but will be great to return to our Club and a little bit of normality after all this time. Look out for posts about our meetings on the third Tuesday of each month in the new year, so long as Covid regulations continue to permit it.
