Community Spirit During The Pandemic

Its very heartwarming to see how people come together during times of crisis. Below is a note from the group in Alford coordinating help and assistance to those in need. Lets hope and pray that this continues after all this is over.

Oh Alford, you truly do not disappoint! We keep throwing ideas at you and you just keep making the dreams work! Our quarantine library has been running for one week now and thanks to all of you we have been able to send out 42 gift packs within the community! 40 packs for children and 2 for adult fiction books! We’ll be making parcels up for collection (or delivery if that’s not possible) on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays as long as we have interest and we have items to give out! This is open for ANY members of the community – all items are quarantined for 3 days per virus control guidance then become available to go in packs. If you see items you think you or your family would like get in touch and we’ll get a bag made up for you! This service can be used as many times as you like, just donate back any items you’ve finished with or didn’t strike your fancy and we’ll put a new pack together once you’ve requested it! Thanks as always for all your support and we’re so enjoying seeing these go out to families so Please keep up the requests!
