We will be having our Seed Saving Workshop on Saturday October 15th at Tarland Community Garden. Gill Butler Orli, the Head Gardener at Glentanar will be giving some practical tips about how to harvest your seed and store it, ready for the seed swap we will be holding next spring. We hope to have lots of different plants to talk about and demonstrate including tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber, parsnips, beans, courgettes, peas, various flowers etc.
We will be meeting in the community garden at 10am, and after the workshop you are welcome to join us for a bowl of vegetable soup (all veg locally grown). We can talk about what has worked and what has been more difficult and share ideas and skills.
Directions to the garden. From the B9119, Drive through the square in Tarland and past the Commercial Hotel, go straight ahead and then bear left at a fork in the road. The garden is straight ahead at the edge of the village on your left. There will be signs showing the way.
