Proposed A2B Bus Service from Alford to Huntly

I refer to the proposed local bus service revisions effective from Mon 15 April, particularly regarding Service 231.

As highlighted on the Council website, it is proposed that a daytime service be operated by the Council’s A2B dial-a-bus service to cover some of the weekday journeys that are proposed for withdrawal.

We have now completed our DRAFT proposed timetable for the new service, (click on the link below to view this). The new service is free to everyone. We will operate to a timetable but the bus will only operate when it is booked. Under normal circumstances we would expect all travelling passengers to have pre-booked the bus but there are exceptions, for example if a relative/friend wished to accompany someone who was booked and there were sufficient seats the driver would take them. We appreciate that the transition to dial-a-bus can take some adjustment so during the initial period the driver would be asked to look out for potential passengers on the route.

We are seeking comments on the proposed timetable by Friday 8 March to enable sufficient time to publicise the changes. Please send comments to:
