Flu Vaccinations

If you are one of the people within these high risk groups, eg * Over 65 * Heart disease * Lung disease (including asthma) * Diabetes * Kidney disease * Liver disease * Previous Stroke * Degenerative disease * MS * Immunocompromising condition * BMI>40 * Unpaid Carer, then it is very important that you protect yourself with a ‘flu vaccine. Please make an appointment to have this done at the Surgery.

Please note that children aged between 2 and 5 (not in school) – although letters have been sent to parents – GP Practices (Alford included) have not yet taken delivery of the Childrens Flu vaccine, although a very small supply is expected shortly. We will, however, be running a specific clinic for children on Saturday, 29th October as we will have adequate stock by then. As well as offering some appointments throughout the coming weeks, we are holding three Saturday Flu clinics – 8th October, 29th October and 19th November. The clinics on 29th October and 19th November will be for adults and children.

If you do not wish to have a ‘flu vaccination it is important that you contact Reception on (019755) 62253 to let us know.
